The nurse comes to your house. Most home visits are arranged by a son or daughter, often from abroad, for a parent who cannot easily get to a clinic. Here is exactly what happens, what it costs to travel, and what to have ready.

Before the visit, you are told who is coming, by name. After it, you get a short message on how the wound looks and when the next visit is due.

Sterile equipment, unhurried, with as little discomfort as possible. Anyone who wants to stay in the room is welcome to.

Not every service is the same at home as at the centre
Which services can be delivered at home, and by whom — needed before this section can be written honestly. Do not assume every centre service is available at home until confirmed.

A dressing course is rarely one visit. Instead of a travel charge on every appointment, a course of visits can be booked at one price with travel included.
